Where it began...

FITprimer was created on our second, non-official date and we didn't even know it. My wife (then only the girl I liked) and I were sitting on the grass somewhere in Stellenbosch talking about our dreams and where we see ourselves making a difference.

 

I have a dream...

Izanne at the time was dreaming about working with pregnant women, training them and having the opportunity to be the encourager during such a special time in a woman's life. I was dreaming about making a difference in the lives of families through creating a space where they can have fun together.

 

City of Gold...

Years later we moved up to Johannesburg and found ourselves in the position to pursue this dream.  So here we are, pursuing the dream of making a difference together in the people around us. A family serving other families in becoming healthier, stronger and better equipped at dealing with the blows of life.

GROUP TRAINING

We target small groups to allow individual coaching without the full cost of a personal trainer.

Also, research backs the approach, showing we are able to keep coming back to the sessions and see the results quicker when there is the common ground with others

(in this case, working and sweating together).

The fun and value is doubled when shared.

PREGNANCY TRAINING

There is so much out there in the media about the importance of training during pregnancy. The benefits far outweigh the risks and, for a safe pregnancy, really is a must.

But where do you start? What can you do? What can't you do?

Even if you where a regular exerciser before you fell pregnant, your doctor's clearance gives you the backing to start this phase. You will be orientated about exercise during this special time in your life and empowered to add value to you and your baby's health. Yes, training during your pregnancy will positively affect your baby's health for life. Need another reason to get going?

TRX STRONG & FIT

A workout built around TRX, kettlebells and body weight, always engaging the core while also incorporating legs, shoulders, arms and back. This class operates on the principle of interval training, targeting muscle staying power. It's designed to improve muscle tone and increase your metabolism. The sessions will be short, time-based circuits.

Expect a full body workout.

LES MILLS GRIT™ Cardio is a 30-minute high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout that improves cardiovascular fitness, increase speed and maximize calorie burn. This workout uses a variety of body weight exercises and provides the challenge and intensity you need to get results fast. LES MILLS GRIT Cardio takes HIIT and combines it with powerful music and inspirational coaches who will be down on the floor with you, motivating you to go harder to get fit, fast.
